Plans and payment

Plans are paid ahead in USDC on Solana, for one, three or twelve months.

A plan is a pool you split across your services. Each service gets its own CPU, memory and disk, and the sum stays within the plan plus any staking bonus. A keyless service's signer adds 0.5 vCPU and 128 MB to that sum (Keyless backends). Build minutes count per calendar month.

For an account's first 7 days, the total is capped at 1 vCPU, 2 GB of memory and 3 services.

Terms and discounts

3 months5%
12 months15%

Staking WABI adds a discount of up to 30% (Staking). The two discounts add up, both taken off the list price. Pro for 12 months lists at $240; with the 15% term discount and a 20% staking tier, 35% comes off and the quote is 156 USDC. Quotes round up to a whole cent.

Paying

  1. Choose a plan and a term in the dashboard, with or without your staking discount. wabi makes a quote: the list price, each discount, the amount in USDC and the date your term will end. The quote holds for 15 minutes.
  2. Pay from the dashboard with your connected wallet, or scan the quote's QR code with a wallet on your phone. Both use Solana Pay.
  3. Your wallet shows the transaction as <plan> · <n> month(s), or <plan> · upgrade for an upgrade. You sign and send it.
  4. Once the transaction is finalized on Solana, wabi credits it. Your term extends from its current end, or from now when it has already ended.

What the transaction contains

wabi builds the transaction and simulates it before your wallet sees it. It holds:

  • compute budget instructions,
  • a transferChecked of the quoted USDC from your USDC account to wabi's treasury, with a unique reference key attached so wabi can find the payment,
  • for a payment with your staking discount, the stake lock (locks),
  • a memo, wabi:<paymentId>.

When the simulation fails, for example with no USDC account or not enough USDC, the dashboard shows the reason and nothing is sent. A payment with your staking discount comes from the wallet that holds the stake.

wabi credits a payment when the finalized transaction succeeded, real USDC reached the treasury's USDC account, the amount covers the quote, and the stake lock is there when the quote has one. Each transaction counts once.

Late and partial payments

A correct payment that arrives after its quote expired, within 7 days of the quote, is still accepted. A payment below the quote isn't applied automatically; wabi resolves it with you.

Changing plans

ChangeYou payTakes effect
Extend, same planthe plan for the term you chooseadded to your current end
Upgrade, higher pricethe monthly price difference, prorated over the time left in your termat once; your end date stays
Downgrade, lower or equal pricethe new plan for the term you choosefrom your current end, adding that term

An upgrade takes no term discount. While a downgrade is scheduled, other plan changes wait until it takes effect. During grace or suspended, paying for the same plan extends it, and another plan starts a new term from now.

Paying during grace or suspended brings the plan back to active. Free static sites keep running in every state.

Notices go out 7, 3 and 1 days before your term ends: in the dashboard, and by email when you've added and verified one (Email).

Fees, currency and refunds

  • Plans are priced in US dollars and paid in USDC on Solana. 1 USDC counts as 1 US dollar.
  • Solana network fees for your transactions are yours.
  • Refunds are paid in USDC to the wallet that paid.

Without a plan

Three static sites are free and need no plan (Static sites). Web services, workers, Postgres databases and builds from GitHub run on a plan.
