Logs and metrics
Follow a service’s output as it happens, search the last seven days, and see its CPU and memory against its limits.
Live logs
The live log shows each line your service writes to standard output and standard error as it is written. Each line carries its time and its stream, stdout or stderr. Write logs to those two streams and wabi collects them, with nothing to install.
Search
Search covers the last 7 days of a service's logs.
| Setting | Limit |
|---|---|
| Time range | any range within the last 7 days |
| Search text | a plain substring, up to 200 characters |
| Lines per query | up to 1,000, newest last |
The search text matches literally, as one phrase: no query language, no operators. A search reaches only the service you run it on.
Build logs
Each build has its own log. It streams live while the build runs, and opening it later replays it from the start (Deploy from GitHub).
Metrics
Metrics chart a service's CPU and memory use against its size, so you see how close it runs to its limits.
| Range | Covers |
|---|---|
1h | the last hour |
6h | the last 6 hours |
24h | the last 24 hours |
7d | the last 7 days |
A service that reaches its memory size is restarted and shows crashed while it comes back. A memory line that climbs to the limit points to a service that needs more memory (Sizes).
