Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of wabi, the hosting platform at wabi.is operated by
[Operator] ("we"). By signing in or deploying anything, you accept them and the
Acceptable Use Policy, which is part of these terms.
1. Your account
- Your Solana wallet is your account. You sign in by signing a message with it; we never ask for or hold its private key.
- You are responsible for everything done with your wallet on wabi. We can't recover access to an account whose wallet is lost, and we can't move an account to another wallet.
- An email address is optional. If you add one, we use it for expiry and service notices only.
- You must be old enough to enter a binding contract where you live, and you must not use wabi where the law forbids it.
2. The service
wabi runs web services, workers, Postgres databases and static sites for you. Paid plans run each
service in its own microVM, with the resources of your plan. The free tier hosts static sites on
<name>.projectwabi.app.
We may change, add or remove features. If a change takes away something your paid plan includes, we tell you in advance and you may end your plan with a refund of the unused time.
3. Plans and payment
- Plans are priced in US dollars and paid in advance in USDC on Solana, for 1, 3 or 12 months. 1 USDC counts as 1 US dollar.
- A quote holds its price for 15 minutes. A payment is complete once its transaction is finalized on Solana and the full quoted amount has reached our treasury. A correct payment that arrives after its quote expired is still accepted.
- A payment of less than the quote is not applied automatically; we resolve it with you.
- An upgrade charges the price difference for the rest of the current term. A downgrade takes effect at the end of the current term.
- Prepaid time is not refundable, except as these terms say or the law requires. Refunds are paid in USDC to the paying wallet.
- You pay Solana network fees for your own transactions.
4. When a plan ends
- After your paid time ends, your services keep running for a 3-day grace period.
- Then they are suspended: services stop, and their data is kept for 14 days.
- After that, the volumes, databases and backups of your paid services are deleted. Free static sites stay within the free tier's limits.
- We send notices 7, 3 and 1 days before your paid time ends: in the dashboard, and by email if you added one.
5. Staking benefits
Staking the wabi token is optional and gives service benefits on top of a paid plan: a discount on payments and extra resources.
- Staked tokens are held by the wabi staking program on Solana, in its vault. The program returns them only to the wallet that staked them; it has no instruction that lets us or anyone else take them out.
- Unstaking starts a cooldown, currently 7 days, after which you withdraw. Pausing the program never stops unstaking or withdrawing.
- A payment with a staking discount locks the tier's minimum amount until the end of the paid term, in the same transaction as the payment. Locked tokens stay yours and can't be unstaked until the lock ends.
- Extra resources follow your staked amount, including tokens in cooldown, until the cooldown ends. If your usage is above your limits after that, new deploys are blocked, and services above the limit stop 7 days later.
- Staking pays no rewards or yield of any kind. Benefits are service benefits only, and their tiers may change; a change never affects a term you have already paid for.
6. Your content
- You keep all rights to what you deploy. You give us the permission we need to host, run, store, back up and deliver it for you, and nothing more.
- You are responsible for your content, your code and its users, and for following the laws that apply to them.
- Environment variables you set are sealed in your browser and opened only inside your own microVM (zkenv). We can't read them. Only your wallet can reveal them in the dashboard.
- Keyless accounts your services use on Solana are controlled by keys derived from your wallet signature and by the policy you set. We don't hold their funds.
7. Backups and availability
- We keep daily backups of each Postgres service for 7 days and restore them on request from the dashboard. Keep your own copies of data you can't afford to lose.
- We announce scheduled maintenance in advance in the dashboard and by email.
- wabi is provided as is and as available. We don't promise uninterrupted or error-free service.
8. Suspension and termination
- We may hold, take down or suspend content, services or accounts that break the Acceptable Use Policy, put others at risk, or that we must remove by law. Phishing, wallet drainers and malware are taken down at once.
- Where we can, we tell you why and give you a chance to respond.
- You may stop using wabi at any time. Unused prepaid time is not refunded when you leave, and your data is deleted on the schedule in section 4.
9. Liability
To the extent the law allows:
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, lost data, or losses from the value of any token.
- Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 3 months before it.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. We announce material changes in the dashboard, and by email if you added one, at least 14 days before they apply. Using wabi after that means you accept them.
11. Law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of [Jurisdiction], and its courts decide disputes. Questions
about these terms: legal@wabi.is.
